JUST ANNOUNCED 9/24/19 – the Department of Labor has finalized the new overtime rules, and those rules become effective on January 1, 2020. Under the overtime rules, there is a minimum salary level which an employee must earn before that employee can be considered for one of the exemptions to overtime. Effective January 1, 2020, that minimum salary level will increase to $35,568.00 per year (or $684.00 per week). The previous levels were $23,660.00 per year or $455 per week. […]
